FAQ 18: Can this system protect me against continuing work on a cancelled project?
As mentioned in FAQ #16 (above) the DocuComm system is like a machine that cannot be stopped from completing its tasks. Normally, when a project is cancelled it is up to whoever you assign to the task to cancel the project in the DocuComm system. The system then notifies all interested parties of the cancellation and does not allow any further activity on the project except for any activity required to close out the project. The DocuComm system has a 'fail-safe' protection mechanism built-in. If the system is not properly notified that a project has been cancelled it continues to make requests of your customers. When your customers cancel a project, they will be concerned if your system keeps making requests of them. Since the system is designed to escalate communications and requests to people's supervisors if the required answer is not received within a specific time-frame, your customer's supervisors will be able to catch the potential error for you. |
